Four good reasons to attend Syscomms'98
  • Education

  • Two parallel tutorial streams on the first day of the conference will give you a quick overview or refresh your knowledge on embedded-system issues. The "Copper" stream addresses the more hardware oriented amongst you, and the "Keyboard" stream those more interested in software.
On Friday 27, there will be an application workshop on the use of the latest developments to the VMEbus standard.

  • Discover the state-of-the-art

  • On the second day of the conference, speakers from academia, industry, and research will present selected embedded-system topics in two parallel sessions to show the "State-of-the-Art" of embedded systems.

  • Visit the market

  • Some fifty vendors will exhibit their hardware and software products during the two days of the conference. This will give you the opportunity to get an easy overview of the current embedded-systems market. Product presentation sessions on both days will complement the exhibits.

  • Get to know CERN

  • A general audience-level presentation will answer your questions about CERN and its research programme. During guided tours for small groups, you will have a closer look at the laboratory's outstanding and impressive facilities (fascinating for the non-scientists among you, too!).
